Sometimes it’s hard to find the motivation to keep working when the goal is so far away. However ever since I’ve been with my boyfriend, it is not so hard to keep pushing it day to day. Of course I still have days where I wonder if all this work is worth it in the end but he reminds me to slow down and enjoy myself - eventually we’ll get to where we want to be.

I want to be the sports mom. I want to be the crafty mom that can cook up a storm. I want to start my own home. I want to be surrounded by adoring little faces in a fun, loving environment I create as a school teacher.

I am on my way to becoming the person I want to be and I need enjoy my time right now and stop wishing for the future to arrive sooner. I need to learn to have fun along the way and enjoy NOW.

I’m a pusher. I push hard for what I want sometimes forgetting to enjoy myself during the process. More than ever, I am realizing that I don’t want to miss out on these years. I am only going to be 21 for a year and early 20s for four more. When I think about it that way, time seems to be flying by.

I need to stop yearning and just let life take its course.
